HELLYS SONG
Helly was born in a
poor family, out in the isolated country.
Romance came with her first husband, just after the Second World War. But
she was facinated with a priest, and composed a waltz, and had him write
it down.
Years later, her song was recorded as a country song, hailing love and
hailing the lonelyness as marriages break. She never got to marry the
priest.
